VPMMA Participant Comments

"William and I communicate at least once per week. His mentorship has been really helpful and I'm sure we will continue to communicate once the program is over"

"I do find these sessions helpful. When I started I wasn't sure as to whether to register as a mentor or a mentee. While I do have my PMP, I'm still new in the civilian project management world. I'm glad that I was matched up with Lucas because we were able to learn from each other."

"I am so glad to have been paired with Chief(retired) Rob!!!  We have been able to meet on a weekly basis, sometimes the day slips, but always exchanging ideas.  We have a lot more ground to cover."

"Maybe I've gotten lucky but Erin is amazingly awesome. I believe the biggest success of the program rests on the participants. From the first conversation, my mentor established rapport and expectations for our relationship."

"The Program is a great step towards helping soldiers in a highly difficult time of their life; transitioning back to a civilian life. Trust me, as a project manager for a Canadian Veterans Affairs initiative, I understand that this is a big change."

"I had a great initial conversation today with my Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA) mentor Phil H.  We covered a gamut of topics and Phil was able to provide great advice and info to help guide my transition.  If you are interested in Program Management or Project Management upon transition from the military, I highly recommend checking out the PMO Squad and VPPMA. Thanks Phil! I look forward to many more conversations with you."
